This project is offered on behalf of
Service Canada. The criteria for admission, services and
guidelines are established by Service Canada.
The goal of this project is to assist
individuals with disabilities to find and retain employment,
*Return-to-School, or achieve *Self-Employment (* see below)

Under 30: |
| |
Most participants in the project have limited or no previous
work experience. Participants are living at home or living
independently with financial support from AISH, Income Support,
or Children's Services.

- There is an expectation of participation
in one week of pre-employment classes
- Participants can access Enhanced Life
Skills and Employability Skills workshops
- Participants can access certificate
courses such as First Aid, WHMIS and forklift training
- There is access to work exposure, site
tours and job shadowing

Eligible Individuals: |
| |
- Are between the ages of 18 to 30
- Are unemployed or working less
than 20 hours a week
- Are not eligible for Employment
Insurance

Unique Features: |

- Wage subsidies are available when the
training period needs to be extended to accommodate the
participant's disability
- Supports positions with reduces hours
(3-15 hours)
- Some participants choose to
*Return-to-School
- A few participants achieve
*Self-Employment
While Under 30 Case Workers provide support and coaching
for participants wanting these two options, we are
not able to provide funding for
Return-to-School or Self-Employment outcomes.
